Yule Log




Icing the cake with chocolate buttercream
   To decorate they Yule Log, I made a thick chocolate buttercream with 3.5oz of margarine and 6oz of icing sugar and 1oz of cocoa powder. Once all of the ingredients were combined I cut ¼ of the yule log and put it at a right angle to the rest of the cake before covering in the buttercream. Once the cake was coated, I used a fork to give the Yule Log a woody texture. Then I put some plastic holly and Happy Christmas on to finish.
