| The layered cupcakes |
I made some chocolate cupcakes but added some peppermint essence because
chocolate, mint is a classic combination. Once the cupcakes had cooled I decided
to make a hidden layer surprise. I cored the cupcakes before making a small
amount of green mint buttercream and spooning it into the cupcakes. Next I
layers in dark chocolate chips before topping with chocolate spread. To finish,
I hid the centre by putting some cake on the top and sprinkling on some cocoa
powder.
