The covered cupcakes |
I removed the cupcake cases and flipped the
buns upside down where I trimmed the cakes to give them flat bottoms. Next I
thinly coated them with buttercream before rolling out red icing. I covered the
cakes with the icing and carefully cut off the excess. After I had done this to
each cake, I rolled out black icing and cut out small dots, large circles and long
strips of fondant. I put cut the large circles just over half and stuck them on
as the face. I carved cute smiles and eyes into each one. Next I put the black
strip to separate the wings and finally the black spots.
